Have you ever had issues with creating super tiny objects? I sure have. That’s usually because you are working with way too small geometry relative to your units.
3ds Max has some issues dealing with small scale. So when you are making tiny primitives, you can’t really get under about 0.1 system units, unless you type in the dimensions. For primitives with more than 1 dimension parameter (box, pyramid, etc.) you need at least one of them to be about 0.1 world units.
For example, you won’t be able to create an object with the dimensions of “Box1” but you will with those of “Box2”.
Box 1
length 0.05
width 0.02
height 0.03
Box 2
length 0.05
width 0.12
height 0.03
To fix that you have to change the system units to smaller value and then rescale accordingly ,e.g change from meters to centimeters and rescale the entire scene 100 times. To make things easier the utilities tab has a rescale tool.
